ʻAha Mele
Help spread the Aloha Spirit in Washington State
ʻAHA MELE began in 2010 as an annual 'enjoyment of song and music' at Chief Leschi Schools on Puyallup tribal lands on the 2nd Saturday in April. It celebrates the re-awakening of spring and invites the community to gather with friends and family around Hawaiian and Polynesian music and dance, shop the food and craft vendors, attend a cultural workshop and try your luck with the raffle drawing. Admission sustains MAWHCC's scholarship and cultural programming.
Mahalo
A big mahalo for supporting our 2024 Aha Mele Festival, which had a record breaking attendance this year and we added 36 new members! Your time and dedication to participating was a highlight for our attendees, witnessed by the lines in the hallways and in the cafeteria.
To our vendors: We hope this was a successful event for you and hope to see you back next year!
To our hālau: We greatly mahalo you for sharing your time and talent. Our cultural expression of hula and the stories shared are invaluable to preserving and protecting our precious culture.
On behalf of our Board and Committe Members, we offer our heartfelt mahalo.
