Help spread the Aloha Spirit in Washington State
Saturday, December 10 | 9AM-12PM PST
Mountain Green Clubhouse - 5280 55th Lane SE Lacey, WA 98503
Bring the family and invite a friend to come along for family fun, food, and kanikapila.
Kids will have fun learning their numbers and colors in Hawaiian while playing games and singing songs. They will also get to decorate their own goodie bags, compete in a cookie decorating contest, and team up with others to play some family friendly games. It will be a fun time to talk story, bust out your ukulele, and sing your favorite Hawaiian holiday songs.
Invite a friend, bring your family and your favorite potluck dish to share.
November - December 2022
We are asking all MAWHCC members to join us in supporting a local non-profit called All Kids Win with a food drive. They work with school districts throughout Thurston County to identify students that are experiencing food insecurity and provide bags of food for them over the weekend.
All Kids Win has a special request for cans of TUNA and CHILI, but will accept any donation of unexpired and non-perishable food. Please bring your donations to the November General Membership Meeting, or the December Holiday Gathering.
If you can't attend but would like to make a food donation please contact Lihu'e Ling at nohonahawaii@mawhcc.org. Monetary donations can be made through our club website (designate that your donation is for ALL KIDS WIN).
2022-2023
Moku'aina A Wakinekona Hawaiian Civic Club is partnering with the Hawaiian Legacy Reforestation Initiative Group to raise funds for our club, while planting endemic Legacy Trees on Hawai'i Island and O'ahu. All you have to do is purchase a tree for $90 to be planted and maintained, designate MAWHCC as the club to receive $30 of your purchase fees, and that is it. You have helped both our organization and Hawaiian Legacy in their efforts to replace the forests of our native lands.
Once a tree is purchased, you will receive an electronic Certificate of Sponsorship that details the tree's ID number and GPS location. An embossed paper Certificate is available at an additional charge of $5. For more information about Hawaiian Legacy click here. Questions? Contact Leilani 'I-Lovell at fundraising@mawhcc.org.
Every 4th WEDNESDAY | 7:00 PM PST
Our group discussion is virtual via Google Meet. An invitation will be sent to everyone in the book club mailing list. If you are interested in being a part of the book club, contact us at communityrelations@mawhcc.org. Meetings are open to non-members. If you have friends who might be interested, please share this information with them.
